Spring Course on Storytelling and Healing: The Eloquence of the Body:
19 April – 22 May 2009 Emerson College, East Sussex, England
Nancy Mellon and Ashley Ramsden, co-authors of the prize-winning book, Body Eloquence,
present a five-week course that offers exciting new insights into the
relationship between the healing arts and storytelling. During the
course, you will explore the connection between the human body and
myths, folk and fairy tales.
"Like
different instruments in an orchestra, the heart, liver, kidneys, lungs
and each of our major organs plays an important part in our total
well-being. Complementary and allopathic medical disciplines together
with a rich variety of storytelling and story making techniques will
offer you ways of gaining a deeper knowledge of your body’s intuitive
wisdom.
Whatever your chosen method of storytelling — be it
through the caring professions, words, visual art, dance,— learning
stories attuned to your body’s intelligence will give you an
inspirational methodology for healing, and a new sense of joy and
courage for life."
Course cost: Tuition £1130 Accommodation & Lunches: £417.50
